Light Bowl- A Pause in Progress On my way back I met the children of progress at the tracks of time It was a dumb crowd too absorbed in their talks and diatribes as they kept coming and going in their class equipped trains Its mighty railway engine drove them up and down the wheel of prosperity From the dust the little circus twins emerged And began to crawl with their drum, iron hoops and bowls Putting on cheap acrobatics at the station For the passengers and the mercy of their rupee No one held their hands and lift them up No one asked them whether they were tired Nameless they were what they were: Dust which we trampled over and over Inspired by our 21 st century megalomania My heart yelled at the revelers asking if these poor little clowns were travelling with us They ...
